Yesterday night was the women singles final of Wimbledon and I did not watch it coz i went back to school for a gathering...Luckily i managed to catch the repeat today becoz it was a stunning match...
This is the 3rd time Venus Williams faced Serena Williams in a Wimbledon final, and it's the first time i saw them play each other...
the match was really close in the first set, which Venus eventually won 7-5, then in the second set Venus won some crucial points to seal the championship match 7-5 6-4...
this is one of the best women's matches i saw this year... Serena looked upset, but she was happy for her sister... and guess what! later that day, the both of them won the ladies doubles final as well, so it's truly a proud day for the Williams family!
this awesome showing sends out a huge warning to all the other women players in the tour as the Olympics approach! and tonight i look forward to the Federer vs. Nadal final...
